JLG Forklift Parts - Following retirement in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started out on a cross country RV trip. After spending many years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this trip would bring forth the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end result of a road trip.

During their trip, John reacquainted himself with previous business associates along the way. In combination with these conversations and a noteworthy event; two workers were tragically electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John uncovered a substantial market for a product that could swiftly and safely elevate individuals in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction services.

Upon returning from their travels, John formed a partnership with two friends and bought a metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, opening operations with a crew of twenty workers, they created and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The business incorporates many of the simple design essentials of that original lift into current versions.

JLG forklifts have come a ways since Mr. John L. Grove came back to town from his cross-country road trip and since the initial aerial work platform debuted on the market. Today, the business proudly continues to expand itself into different marketplaces globally and develops new products to make certain clients are capable of being more effective and perform in the workplace within a safer environment.
