Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop at first employing 4 people. Product sales for their first year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and different components. Throughout five years of operation, the company had expanded to forty staff and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. Now, Cascade is amongst the leading international producers within the material handling trade.

Design and manufacturing of the company's original hydraulic cylinder allowed this new business to aggressively pursue new business opportunities. Throughout the final 60 years, the trade of material handling has grown into a very advanced area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its improvement. Cascade at present continues to grow as the leader supplier of forklift accessories and various associated products. All through the 1950's, Cascade began to manufacture, design, and sell its hydraulic accessories. A new facility was made in the year 1956, to house all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which is still the company's present head office. Subsequent to 15 years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty employees and sales had reached practically 2.3 million dollars.

In the year 1959 in Springfield, Fontana a second manufacturing facility was built. 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry while the company established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

In the year 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in the year 1965, the business went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the continental USA to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Springfield, Fontana and Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are fabricated globally due to numerous subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This facility is made to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and 1997 with the dramatic acquisition of five corporations, including the international best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
